Jones Myers duo takes on tough charity challenges
Family law specialists from Jones Myers LLP will push themselves to the extreme next month to boost funds for St Gemma’s Hospice and The Alzheimer’s Society.
Partner Sarah Dickinson is embarking on her first ever run by undertaking the Great North Run for The Alzheimer’s Society on September 7th. Collaborative family lawyer Norman Taylor will put his best foot forward for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – covering 24.5 miles within 12 hours for St Gemma’s Hospice – on September 5th.
The lawyers’ recent fundraising achievements have seen Norman, his family and his band Mid Life Crysis boost the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund to the tune of £4k while Sarah has braved extremes of temperature and raised almost £7k by completing a trek of the Great Wall of China.
Norman said: “The Three Peaks is my way of thanking St Gemma’s Hospice for the wonderful care they gave my late father-in-law and their humane service. It is great to know that I will be contributing to their fantastic work in my own small way.”
Added Sarah: “The Alzheimer’s Society gave my family invaluable support during my father’s struggle with the condition. A few months ago I couldn’t run and, although doing a half marathon is a major challenge for me, I know I’ll feel a real sense of achievement afterwards and will have raised money for a very worthy cause.”
