Glamour ball to support MD's charity
One of the North East’s leading businesswomen is staging an evening of glitz and glamour to raise money for a charity she set up after a personal tragedy.
Pamela Petty, Managing Director of Ebac in Newton Aycliffe, started the Olivia Mae Foundation in memory of her daughter, who died aged seven weeks following a brave battle against the very rare Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
The Olivia Mae Foundation ball - the charity’s biggest event - will be held at Redworth Hall Hotel on November 22. Tickets are £50, with drinks from 7pm and dinner served at 7.45pm.
Pamela said: “It’ll be a great night out, with live music and dancing, an auction, raffle and everything you would expect from one of the region’s most prestigious venues.
“But there’s no reason why we can’t raise money for a good cause at the same time. The Olivia Mae Foundation is run by families for families to provide that vital lifeline in the moments after mums and dads might have been told by the hospital there is a serious problem and they need to make emergency arrangements. We can cover those costs and let them get on with caring for their children.”
Redworth Hall’s General Manager John O’Reilly said: “We will pull out all the stops to make sure the Olivia Mae ball is a true highlight for Pamela’s guests.
“Redworth has been the home of great country house events for decades and we are proud to be able to help such a worthy cause.”
