Texas £28 billion oilfield services firm moves to Leeds
Texas-based oilfield services firm Schlumberger Ltd. has taken office space at Pinnacle Leeds.
Schlumberger has taken an assignment of 5,100 sq ft on the 13th floor of the Pinnacle Tower from its subsidiary, Rock Deformation Research (RDR), which has about 40 staff and provides software product development and consulting services.
Schlumberger, which has its main national headquarters in Paris, Houston, London and The Hague, reported $45.27bn revenue in 2013 and employs about 126,000 people, from more than 140 nationalities, in more than 85 countries.
Pinnacle, which is undergoing a £6 million upgrade which has so far included extensive modernisation and refurbishment of office space, new lifts and replacing the roof-based chillers to improve the air conditioning, was acquired by Moorfield Group.
Speaking for the partnership between Holbeck Land and Moorfield Group responsible for Pinnacle, Holbeck Land, director, Robert Firth, says: “We’re very pleased that Pinnacle meets the criteria of a major global business such as Schlumberger, which has offices worldwide, and to help create a presence for the company in Yorkshire.”
