Sheffield branding firm Tonik hits £300k turnover in its first year
Sheffield branding agency Tonik has reportedly surpassed its financial target of £300k turnover in its first year.
In its first 12 months of trading, the branding and design agency trebled its design team, upgraded office space and surpassed all of its financial targets.
Tonik, which is based in Sheffield’s Aizlewood’s Mill, was founded in 2013 by self-taught graphic designer, Sarah Simpkins.
The branding agency’s fast growth is primarily due to client demand – in its first year the agency aimed to complete two branding projects per month, however the agency is averaging double this number.
Tonik did not expect to be trading outside of Yorkshire in the first year of trading, however as a result of client recommendation, Tonik now has clients in London and across the UK.
Sarah, creative director of Tonik, explained: “We’re thrilled with the way Tonik has grown in such a short period of time, it has exceeded my expectations of the first year in every way.
“We now have a talented team of three designers along with two directors, with the vision to recruit a further two designers in the near future.”
