Irish firm appointed to £13 million Central Square Leeds commercial scheme
Irish firm McMullen Facades has landed a £13 million deal to design, manufacture and install the full building envelope for the Central Square commercial scheme in Leeds.
According to Construction Enquirer, Lakesmere Group subsidiary McMullen has landed the package from main contractor Wates.
McMullen will start on site next July and the firm’s contract includes the scheme’s striking sloped glazed entrance which will link the two main blocks to create an atrium and garden.
McMullen’s package of works also includes the curtain walling elements to the external side walls and internal walls of the atrium.
The contract will also see Lakesmere North complete some of the stone cladding and feature stonework elements.
Central Square is set for completion in Spring 2016.
