SuccorfishM2M Winners of Design Innovation at RTC North Awards
SuccorfishM2M has been crowned winners at RTC North’s Celebration of Innovation 25th Anniversary Awards which recognises North East companies at the cutting edge of design and innovation.
SuccorfishM2M beat other strong finalists to win the Most Innovative Application of Design Expertise category having become a world leading designer and manufacturer of robust, fit for purpose, machine-to-machine (M2M) hardware, software and data communication systems for assets working in the world’s most harsh environments.
The company’s industry-led products have been designed specifically for mobile land, marine and tactical assets operating in the most remote, harsh or extreme conditions anywhere in the world. They provide truly global, continuous asset connectivity in real time and to within two metres worldwide.
And its latest product, the SC4, is set to become revolutionary for those requiring the ultimate personnel monitoring, safety and rescue system that tracks and communicates with employees in real time working in remote or dangerous conditions.
Set to launch in the New Year, the SC4 not only incorporates next generation technology including AIS, COSPAT-SARSAT 406-121 ad ISM band radio, but also provides a single, ‘one unit’, dual Iridium satellite and GPRS/GSM solution for real time monitoring, positional and communication data. Its robust, non-intrusive and portable design is easy to wear and also includes a simple ‘one pull’ SOS alert that instantly transmits casualty position and tracks actual movement, rather than just alert trigger location, until final rescue. This allows organisations to move fast and deploy proactive and life saving strategies within seconds.
George Henricks, Commercial Director of Succorfish, commented, “We are delighted to be recognised by RTC North as we are one of a growing number of North East companies at the forefront of world-leading design and innovation. Our products are specified across the globe in industries from oil & gas, marine management and commercial fisheries to construction, agriculture and logistics, so it proves that the region has the skills, knowledge and technical expertise to successfully compete on an international stage.”
