Everton Football Club partner with Runcorn-based The Protein Works
Everton Football Club has joined forces with Runcorn online sports nutrition brand The Protein Works.
The Runcorn firm started in 2012 and has reported a revenue of £6 million in its first two years of trading.
The company was started by three entrepreneurs who invested their life savings into the business a total of £120k along with a six-figure sum of funding from the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP).
The business now employs 40 staff and is growing fast taking on big corporate brands with expansion into Europe and local sites in France and Germany coming soon.
Founder Karl Jacobie said, “The future is very exciting as we look to take the TPW concept into Europe, as well as continue to build on the success in the UK.
“With the market growing fast, we have every intention of ‘staying ahead of the curve’.
“We’ve got some ground-breaking products to bring to market in 2015 which will no doubt shake things up even more.”
