The Fabulous Frost Fair comes to St Paul’s Square

This Christmas, the magic is coming to Liverpool’s commercial district in the form of the ’Fabulous Frost Fair’.

The fair will take place in the city for the first time, on the ground floor of English Cities fund’s (ECf’s) No 4 St Paul’s Square and in the square itself, on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th December, giving local businesses and visitors to the commercial district the opportunity to embrace the season and bag some special Christmas presents early.

St Paul’s Square’s Christmas ‘Fabulous Frost Fair’ (FFF) will have a unique offering, tailored for the surrounding businesses and corporate audiences, providing a selection of specialist gifts, festive food and drink, as well as finishing touches including cards, ribbon and giftwrap.

The fair, which is funded by the Liverpool BID Company, will capture audiences from surrounding office developments on the square and beyond, the footfall from Old Hall Street, visitors on the Snowflake Trail and occupiers from No 4 St Paul’s Square itself. A perfect place to pick up Christmas presents and treats in between meetings, at lunchtime and after work.

The Fabulous Frost Fair is part of the BID Company’s Thursday and Alive After Five Christmas programme, the highlight of which is the family free event – The Snowflake Trail, which runs until December 28. There will also be Christmas choirs performing every Thursday across the city centre.

There will also be Commercial District Carol Singing with the Lord Mayor. This will take place at lunchtime at a special Carol Service on Wednesday 10th December in St Nicholas Church.

Bill Addy, Chief Executive of Liverpool BID Company, said: ’‘I’m delighted St Paul’s Square is hosting Liverpool’s first Fabulous Frost Fair. It promises to be a fantastic addition to the city’s Christmas calendar. It will also give all who work in and around the Commercial District a chance to experience something totally unique and maybe make that special purchase or two.’’

Not only will the fair be a convenient place to shop for local businesses, it will be an ideal opportunity to network with key contacts in an informal environment over a mulled wine and spiced cider.

St Paul’s Square’s Christmas ’Fabulous Frost Fair’ (FFF) : Wednesday 10th December 2014 (11am – 4pm) / Thursday 11th December 2014 (11am – 7pm).
