PR agency strikes gold at industry awards
A gold award for a golden campaign!
Leading PR agency HR Media was crowned winner of the Low Budget category at the 2014 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards for its Going for Gold campaign.
HR Media was the only PR company in South Yorkshire to pick up gold at the prestigious annual industry awards, held at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.
Going for Gold was created to inspire young people from a range of age groups, backgrounds and abilities to get involved in the 2014 South Yorkshire Sainsbury’s School Games.
Simon Pugh, development manager at South Yorkshire Sport, which organises the Games, said: “HR Media successfully built and maintained the profile of the Games and created a buzz about the event with key contacts generating substantial coverage
“The creative elements of the campaign were key to the success and achieving objectives within the limited budget.”
Sheffield-based HR Media also won a silver award in the Community Relations category for its Gift of Life Campaign, which encouraged more than 22,000 people in the South Yorkshire ‘S’ postcode to add their names to the NHS Organ Donation Register ahead of the Westfield Health British Transplant Games.
Now in its 11th year, the CIPR PRide Awards is the only UK-wide awards scheme that recognises excellence in public relations and communications work.
Martin Ross, managing director at HR Media said: “To be the only PR consultancy in South Yorkshire to win a gold award is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and creativity of our talented team, including account managers Natalie Harrison and Kirstie Kinrade who led the campaigns.
“The CIPR PRide Awards grow year-on-year and attract entries from organisations right across the region, so we’re delighted to have been recognised with two accolades.”
Established in 1997, HR Media is one of Yorkshire’s most experienced PR consultancies and works with a range of clients helping organisations to achieve their business objectives.
HR Media was recently ranked as the top PR agency in South Yorkshire in a national survey of PR companies in the North of England.
