Sheffield goes green with £2.5 million student accommodation development

Sheffield is set to receive a £2.5 million eco-friendly student accommodation development.

London-based Crossbow Investments has purchased 675 sq m on Henry Street in Sheffield for the development.

The scheme, comprising 47 units of cabin style accommodation, follows the developer’s acquisition of 1576m sq of land at Dunfields in Kelham Island for 18 individual plots which has been developed into student accommodation.

hlw Keeble Hawson, one of Yorkshire’s largest law firms, has acted for Crossbow Investments in both developments, acquiring the land for each of the sites and managing all processes for the off plan sales at Dunfields.

The design remit for both sites is being carried out by architects Coda Studios.

hlw Keeble Hawson has witnessed a substantial increase in commercial and property deals across 2014. The firm’s clients include Harworth Estates which has just completed the R-evolution scheme offering units from 10,000- 50,000 sq ft on its flagship Advanced Manufacturing Park.
