Manchester travel firm relocates to city centre
Corporate travel business, Co-operative Travel Management, has relocated from Altrincham into Manchester City Centre, taking a 10 year lease on a 10,000 sq ft office suite within Helical Bar’s Churchgate building on Oxford Street.
Co-operative Travel Management was advised by CBRE.
Helical Bar acquired the Grade II Listed Churchgate & Lee buildings earlier this year and undertook a comprehensive refurbishment and remodeling programme.
Following the refurbishment, existing occupiers Countrywide and Economic Solutions, committed to Churchgate for 7 and 10 years respectively.
Co-operative Travel Management was acquired by Saudi Arabian business Al Tayyar in May this year.
Associate director of office agency at CBRE’s Manchester office, Kirsty Littleford, comments;
“Co-operative Travel Management decided to move to Manchester City Centre due to its transport links, amenities and its reach to a larger labour pool.
“After an extensive search of properties, the firm decided on Churchgate which offers some of the largest floor-plates in the city and the impressive new reception provides the right level of presence for both occupiers and visitors.”
CEO of Co-operative Travel Management, Patrick McDonagh, commented;
“Moving back to the city centre is a key part of our plans to grow our business.
“Manchester offers access to a rich pool of talent, ensuring we recruit and retain the best.
“Churchgate house promises to be a great location from which to do this.”
