Nursing and care boss wins national award
The boss of a Yorkshire nursing and care company has won a national franchisee award.
Mike Dooley beat off competition from 13 other franchisees to be named 2014 Prestige + Nursing Care Franchisee of the Year – the second time in three years he has achieved this award.
The award is in recognition of the way Mike, and his wife Jill, has continued to grow Prestige Nursing + Care (Doncaster) and Prestige Nursing + Care (Wakefield) in 2014, despite operating in tough economic conditions.
Jonathan Bruce, Managing Director of Prestige Nursing + Care, said “Mike and Jill thoroughly deserve this award, which is a testament to all the hard work and perseverance they have demonstrated during the first four years of their time with us.
“They are always looking to grow and improve their service to customers and their recent move to new, bigger premises in Doncaster and Wakefield will help them grow their business still further. We wish them every success for the future.”
Prestige Nursing + Care (Doncaster/Wakefield) Managing Director Mike Dooley said: “The credit for this award should go to my dedicated offices team and, of course, to our nurses and care and support workers who deliver an excellent standard of care.
“Whilst the award may be in my name I could not have achieved anything without the support of such a fantastic staff team who are dedicated to ensuring we provide person-centred care to people in Doncaster and Wakefield.”
Since opening in 2009, Prestige Nursing + Care (Doncaster) has grown rapidly and now employs 50 staff and provides 1,200 care hours each week. A further 60 people are employed in Wakefield, providing 1,500 care hours each week.
