Beaumont Legal Raise More Than £6,000 For Charity
Staff from Wakefield-based law firm Beaumont Legal are celebrating this Christmas after raising more than £6,000 for charity in 2014.
Throughout the year the 150-strong law firm raised money for good causes that sit close to the hearts of their colleagues, gathering funds for local charities including Wakefield Hospice, Candlelighters, Pontefract Hospice, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Huddersfield & Wakefield Rotary Chantry.
Charity challenges included dress down days, costume competitions, cake sales and even a Dragon Boat race at Wakefield’s Pugneys Country Park, where the Beaumont team won the prize for best costume. On Halloween, more than £700 was raised on behalf of the Shine charity with a spooky costume competition while the fundraising year ended with more than £400 raised for Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children.
Nick Masheder, Managing Partner at Beaumont Legal, commented: “It’s a terrific achievement for our team to have raised this amount of money throughout the year. I’m proud not just of those who have dug deep into their pockets but of everyone who’s put extra effort into things like costumes. Raising money for charities that mean something special to the people who work here has meant that each one has felt personal, which everyone has really got behind.”
National charities supported by the firm include Sport Relief, Marie Curie, Leukaemia & Lymphoma research, Help for Heroes, Shine and Children in Need.
