Bridon Group makes key acquisition
Bridon Group, a global technology leader in the manufacture of wire and fibre rope, has acquired the moorings business of ScanRope from the Parker Hannifin Corporation.
Bridon is a global business with a UK Head Office in Doncaster that manufactures wire and rope solutions for the world’s most demanding applications and operates across several sectors including Oil and Gas, Mining, Construction, Fishing, Marine, Crane and Industrial.
ScanRope is a Norwegian-based manufacture of both steel and fibre deep water mooring systems. This acquisition will strengthen Bridon’s position as the clear market leader in this sector.
Jonathan Templeman, Chief Executive of Bridon, said: “This is an exciting development for both businesses.
“The acquisition will strengthen Bridon and ScanRope’s position in steel systems and will make us the market leader in this area. It will also give Bridon an offering with customers demanding fibre moorings.”
