Roof Tile Firm Makes the Grade
Russell Roof Tiles has been named as a finalist for ‘Most Innovative Supplier’ at leading industry honours the “Housing Innovation Awards”.
Russell Roof Tiles manufactures on three state of the art plants, in Burton-on-Trent and in Lockerbie. The firm makes a range of concrete roof tiles and fittings for leading UK house builders, social housing and commercial projects and employs a team of 160 across its sites and this year celebrates 50 years of manufacturing.
This is the first time Russell Roof Tiles has been recognised in these national awards, organised by the publishers of Housing Magazine, which celebrates excellence in the social housing sector. Russell Roof Tiles has been shortlisted from 21 entries. The social housing sector has a history of innovation and continually looks a new ways of working in an increasingly tough environment.
Russell Roof Tiles has a growing list of projects successfully completed for local authority and specialist housing associations across the country, included award winning projects such Vineburgh in Irvine, the largest urban redevelopment project in Ayrshire. Work with Sovereign Housing Association that operates across the South and South West specifically on homes on the Blenheim Estate plus 170 homes for Derby City Council with leading social housing developer Riverside.
Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles commented “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted. Our successful work in the social housing sector is due to the fact we aim to help customers to drive down costs by supplying great value products without compromising on quality.”
The final winner will be announced at a glittering awards event at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on 18 February.
