£2 million sales surge for Manchester-based furnishing centre
Manchester-based home furnishing centre, Housing Units, has reported record sales during 2014 with an increase of £2 million to a total of £27.3 million inc VAT.
The main contributing factors include a double digit increase in sales of furniture and a significant 30% uplift in Christmas department sales during the festive period.
2014 was backed by substantial investment in marketing and PR, the activity contributed to building brand awareness and footfall throughout 2014.
Merchandise and Marketing Director at Housing Units, Nick Fox, said: “We’re delighted at the reported figures and excited to launch into 2015 on such a high.
“As a result we plan to recruit an additional 20 members of staff in the coming months, expand our offering through worldwide sourcing and continue to focus on high levels of customer service.
“We have big plans in the pipeline for the Spring and Summer already, which we hope will excite our customers looking for the total shopping experience.”
