Cumbrian Birkett Bogmats wins €1 million French contract
Cumbrian timber access mat supplier Birkett Bogmats has won a French contract worth over €1 million.
The contract involves delivering the entire order within a 6 week period which will mean 170 articulated lorry loads being sent to Southern France.
The family firm, which is based in Rowrah, West Cumbria, has a history stretching back more than 40 years.
Birkett Bogmats’ managing director, Juanita Watts, said: “We are delighted to win this contract to work on another project in France and are already setting the wheels in motion to get access mats to the site.
“I shall be heading out to France to see the project for myself soon, so hope to take more photographic evidence of Birketts’ global reach.”
