Utimaco builds global presence with UK market launch

Utimaco, a leading manufacturer of hardware-based security solutions is set to consolidate its ambitious growth plans by launching in the UK. The company provides market-leading, general purpose Hardware Security Module (HSM) products which ensure the safe-keeping of encrypted data and protect organisations against software security breaches and backdoors, through a robust, tamper-proof solution.

The solutions are designed to meet today’s critical security challenges for enterprises, providing robust protection for any data which needs to be secure. A core focus will be the growing requirements for the protection of assets in growing sectors such as ID management, the growth in ‘smart’ technologies - such as smart metering - and Enterprise Database Encryption.

Heading up the development of the business is VP UK & Ireland, Daniel Mothersdale, who brings a wealth of industry experience and in-depth knowledge in a career spanning 30 years. “This is a really exciting time for Utimaco and the investment in the UK team shows how committed we are to this market and the potential that exists here. We will be building our UK team through the coming year and building the customer base through OEMs, SI’s and reseller partners. “ said Daniel.
