Fighting fit budget gym operator Xercise4Less is preparing for its North Shields and Gateshead opening, adding to the local economy by creating over 80 jobs and bringing fitness to the masses through ‘The People’s Gym’.
Opening on 28 April, the group’s 29th site Gateshead’s pre-sale starts Friday 13 February and will span 30,000 sq ft. The chains’ 33rd site, North Shields opens on 30 April with its pre-sale starting 16 February and will span 30,000 sq ft.
As the award-winning chain brings high quality budget facilities to region, positions to be advertised include, General Manager, Membership Manager, Membership Team, Housekeeping Team, Personal Trainers and Freelance Fitness Instructors.
Each site will hold 400 state of the art pieces of equipment including MATRIX cardiovascular fitness equipment and resistance machines, MyRide+ which is a virtual spin class, a full sized boxing ring with boxing bags and a large free weights area. The gym, like all other Xercise4Less branches, will have a women’s only area, a huge fitness studio hosting more than 40 free classes per week.
Facilities such as the Ladies Only gym area, the Boxing Ring and the classes seek to enhance the member experience and actively demonstrate how Xercise4Less is willing to go well beyond people’s expectations of a typical ‘budget gym’.
With monthly memberships from just £9.99, the club is striving to bring fitness to all. Chief Executive Officer, Jon Wright said: “With Xercise4Less, we’ve set out to create ‘The People’s Gym’, realising members use the facilities for lots of different reasons.
“We’re here to ensure people of all ages, and fitness levels, can benefit from great facilities, with cost not being a barrier. The fitness industry has become very greedy and there’s no need to charge members sky high prices - a good gym can be run very economically.
“We’re expanding at a rapid rate and are excited about the developments in the North East, and across the UK, and will continue to extend our services over time to suit the needs of all our members.”
