Manchester’s boohoo.com report strong start to 2015
Manchester based online fashion retailer boohoo.com report a strong start to the year.
Its trading statement for the first two months of 2015 shows that revenue is up 22% compared to the same period last year.
The company also report it has 3m active customers, up 29% on prior year.
Boohoo.com have said that 50% of its customers now access its site by mobile and that its new fully responsive website is delivering an improved mobile experience.
The group have experienced strong growth globally with 46% constant currency growth, this has been put down to concentrating on fewer key markets.
The company have also invested further in its warehouse facilities and report this is having a positive impact on the business.
Joint chief executives Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane said: “We continue to build our business for the long term, as we stated at our IPO last year, and our clear objective is to deliver sustainable growth.
“We remain absolutely focussed on execution and are increasing our marketing spend in FY16 to drive momentum in the business.”
