Laytons advise on sale of Environmental Evaluation
The Manchester office of Laytons Solicitors advised the shareholders of Oldham-based Environmental Evaluation Ltd (EEL), a health and safety and the environmental consultant, on the sale of the business to Exova Group Plc.
EEL is a specialist in asbestos management services for the nuclear decommissioning industry and employs 83 people.
Exova said it was buying the business to expand its geographical reach and open up new markets. The consideration was not disclosed.
The Laytons’ team was led by corporate partner Barney Leaf, supported by solicitor Rohit Fogla.
Barney Leaf said: “The sale of EEL comes at a time when demand for environmental testing has increased as organisations aim to meet increasingly stringent national and international regulations.
“We are delighted for the shareholders of EEL and pleased to have safely negotiated the legal complexities and brought matters to a positive conclusion for all parties”.°
