Advanced Business Solutions scoops silver at IntraLogistics Awards
Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced) has won the silver prize for the ‘IT and Software: Warehouse Management and CRM’ category at the IntraLogistics Awards on 25th March. The awards honour service providers who have demonstrated innovation in IT and/or software that delivers tangible benefits to users.
The awards were presented as part of the IntraLogisteX event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Advanced was recognised for the benefits its warehouse management solution (WMS) OpenWMS, and real-time dashboards solution OpenDashboards, have delivered to third party logistics (3PL) company DSV Solutions.
OpenDashboards allows Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be monitored via a visual dashboard display and shows staff in real time how they are performing against their targets. Since implementing the system last year, DSV Solutions has seen a 20% rise in productivity.
OpenDashboards integrates with OpenWMS, which DSV Solutions has been using since 2006, as well as any other WMS, database or spreadsheet, to extract data and run reports on productivity and performance. The WMS is part of a full business suite that includes financial management and integrated HR and payroll, which has helped the 3PL to improve accuracy, traceability and growth due to its ability to handle a wide range of customer requirements.
Simon Fowler, Managing Director, Advanced Business Solutions (Commercial Division), says, “We are very proud to receive this award, especially as it recognises how our solutions have delivered tangible benefits for our customers.
“The logistics industry is a crowded market and quality IT software enables greater visibility and traceability of stock, providing more accurate and up-to-date information for managers. This can drive performance and ensure high quality service levels, giving companies the competitive advantage.”
Advanced Business Solutions is a division of Advanced Computer Software Group Limited, a leading supplier of software and IT services to the health, care and business services sectors.
