Manchester-based Amicus Building Products Limited acquire Nu*Stock for undisclosed sum
Manchester-based Amicus Building Products Limited have bought Nu*Stock for an undisclosed sum.
Law firm Watson Burton advised on the deal.
All of the 30 staff at the firm will remain employed by Amicus, and Daniel Stock – managing director and one of the original family-owners – will also remain involved in the business going forward.
The founder of the company, Ray Stock, along with wife Geraldine, will be retiring from the business.
Ray said: “We were referred to Watson Burton to advise on the sale of our family business because of its reputation for taking time to understand client needs before providing quality legal advice to achieve the desired outcome.
“We were not disappointed by the level of service we received.
“The firm acted as a trusted legal advisor to our family throughout this process, and we are grateful for the pragmatic guidance and support provided by all members of the team involved.”
Duncan Reid, partner at Watson Burton, said: “Nu*Stock has seen real success since it was established in 2002.
“We have been pleased to advise on the sale of the family shareholding to Amicus, which is a sound strategic move for the company.
“I am sure Nu*Stock will enjoy continued growth in future years.”
