Digital business helping SMEs joins Open Space
A newly launched business aimed at optimising websites for mobile browsers has taken up tenancy at the North East Business and Innovation Centre’s (BIC) Open Space. Managing director, Kevin Goldsmith viewed the BIC’s Open Space, co-working facility and decided to run his business from the 2,400 sq ft facility.
Optamise aims to help SMEs who neglect their online presence for mobile devices, Kevin explains:
“Smartphones are rapidly overtaking desktop computers as the preferred method of browsing and the websites of many businesses are not yet optimised to display correctly on those devices. “That’s where my company can help. Simply put if you’re not mobile then you are standing still.
“I came to the BIC because the range of services matches my business needs perfectly. I particularly like the fluid ease with which one can upgrade their office space in line with anticipated organic business growth.”
Donna Surtees, senior space adviser at the BIC, added:
“On behalf of everyone at the BIC we welcome Kevin and his business to Open Space. I am delighted he chose our 14 acre site to run his business.
“Open Space is the perfect answer for businesses who desire a prestigious place to work from but don’t require their own offices. We wish Kevin all the best and look forward to watching his business grow and develop.”
