RD Biomed achieves ISO 9001 certification
RD Biomed, the Yorkshire medical technology company, has announced that its quality management system has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 certification.
ISO 9001:2008 is the global benchmark for quality management and is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and employees.
RD Biomed, based in Hull, specialises in healthcare product development in gastroenterology, including its popular reflux diagnostic device Peptest. To achieve ISO certification, the company has been audited by third party organisation QMS International.
Professor Peter Dettmar, director at RD Biomed, said: “At RD Biomed, we are committed to a strong culture of quality to ensure we continue to innovate and meet the growing expectations of our customers.”
“With ISO certification, we can demonstrate that we consistently provide a product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.”
