Manchester-based Rhenus Logistics UK partner with Greek firm
Manchester-based Rhenus Logistics UK, a freight forwarder, has announced a new partnership with groupage specialist Intertrans.
The relationship sees the launch of Rhenus’ latest direct overland route from the UK to Greece.
Following confirmed partnership agreements with Transdanubia and Milsped, the deal will see Rhenus further expand its major market share in Europe.
Intertrans, one of Greece’s major freight forwarders, will support Rhenus by offering its customers a highly flexible logistics service adapting to the changing market needs.
The business currently has hubs operating in Athens, Athens’ Piraeus port and Thessaloniki, handling more than 25,000 shipments a year.
Director at Rhenus Gary Dodsworth, said: “We are thrilled to announce our new contract with Intertrans which is now fully operational.
“We’re looking forward to working with an organisation that shares our values and vision for the future of European logistics.
“We hope to continue increasing our network across Southern Europe offering a guaranteed specialised solution.”
