New £1m North Shields gym to open in July
Xercise4Less, the Budget gym operator, has announced it will be opening its new, £1m North Shields gym in July.
The new site will be the fifth Xercise4Less gym to open in the North East in just over two years, bringing the group’s total investment across the region to £5m.
The gym, which will span 30,000 sqft, will also give the local economy a boost by creating 40 new jobs for the people of North Shields.
Jon Wright, Xercise4Less chief executive officer, who last month spoke exclusively to Bdaily of his admiration for the region, said: “The North East provides us with fantastic expansion opportunities.
“The demand for affordable fitness in both Tyne and Wear and North Yorkshire has increased dramatically over the last few years which has enabled us to develop our portfolio across the region.
“We already have clubs in Stockton, Newcastle and Sunderland which have all been extremely well received and I have no doubt that North Shields will be just as successful.”
