Host of prestigious six-figure contracts for Billingham based builders

Billingham-based RPD Builders has recently won several prestigious six-figure contracts with the Noreast group of Co-ownership Housing Societies.

The building and construction firm is completing work on five separate Noreast sites throughout the North East, including blocks of flats in Billingham, Darlington, Norton, Marton and Fairfield.

The majority of the work is involving re-roofing the flats and, in addition, RPD Builders is completing additional maintenance work for the Noreast Group, including improvement work to the sites’ boundary walls and footpaths and the construction of a new garage block.

Peter Davison, Managing Director of family-run RPD Builders, said: “The work we are completing for Noreast Housing Society demonstrates the scope and expertise of RPD Builders; we work on projects ranging from social housing developments to bespoke domestic projects and we’d definitely like to put RPD’s extensive skillset to use on even more commercial developments in the future.

“During the recession, we noticed a slump in the number of commercial contracts and regeneration in the region stalled. However, with the economy showing signs of improvement, there has been greater investment and confidence in commercial projects, which means greater improvement to our local area and more opportunities in the sector for job creation.”
