Mobile network Three partners with North Shields FC in time for Wembley
Mobile network Three has announced it has become the Official Fans sponsor of North Shields FC for their FA Vase Final match at Wembley against Glossop North End.
The unique footballing deal is aimed at rewarding supporters and helping North Shields fans stay connected to the team throughout their journey down from the North East to Wembley.
As part of the sponsorship, North Shields will become the first football team to crowdsource its celebration.
In a chance to offer their very own celebratory master class, whether it’s a Peter Crouch inspired robot, a shadow boxing Wayne Rooney or a simple Alan Shearer hand raise, fans will be able to contribute their moves on Twitter, which will be complied by a choreographer and executed by the team when they score at Wembley.
Graham Fenton, manager at North Shields FC, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Three as our official fans sponsor for our massive game at Wembley.
“The support we’ve had from the supporters and local community since we booked out place in the final has been fantastic, so it’s great to see them gain recognition for their achievement from Three.
“There is no denying it’s a long trip down from Shields to London but with Three’s network we’ll be able to keep connected and engaged with the fans more than ever.”
Danny Dixon, director of customer strategy at Three, said: “We’re delighted to sponsor North Shields for their big game at Wembley, connecting the club with its fans and keeping everyone up to date with the score.
“We are proud of our reliable network and I’m excited to see how they develop their winning celebration for when they hopefully lift the cup!”
The sponsorship is also going to allow fans to get a greater insight into player’s preparation ahead of the game. By using Three’s network players and team staff will be able to document every step of the journey down to Wembley.
Anyone wishing to submit to the celebration can do so through @NorthShieldsFC and using the hashtag #ThreeConnects.
