Family businesses soar to the top
The Finalists have been revealed for this year’s prestigious Red Ribbon Awards; the highest accolade for British family firms and York based golf tour operator Glencor Golf Holidays are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Family Business of The Year award.
Hosted by Family Business Place, and now in their sixth year, the awards seek to recognise and honour some of the most exciting, innovative and longstanding family businesses around the UK. From 200 year old cheese makers in Yorkshire to second generation perfumers in London and sibling start-ups in Devon, family companies are the backbone of the British economy and deserve to be celebrated.
Amalia Brightley-Gillott, Awards Manager says –
“Family businesses are the lifeblood of the British economy and the beating heart of our local communities, employing 1 in 3 people. Despite their impressive contribution they are often modest and shy about publicising their achievements and so we founded the Red Ribbon Awards. This year’s Finalists are a treasure trove of incredible companies who all excel in their field and are true beacons of British commerce.”
Winners will be announced at the Red Ribbon Awards Ceremony and Charity Ball on 10 July at the Underglobe at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Guests will be treated to a spectacular evening of fine dining, world-class entertainment and the Awards Ceremony itself.
