New Head of Performance for North West Charity
A new Head of Performance has been appointed by North West charity Alternative Futures Group (AFG).
Andrew Beland has around 14 years’ experience in performance Management with his most recent role as Performance and Governance Manager at London based Housing Association, Viridian Housing.
He has also worked for Avon and Somerset Police and at Southwark Council’s Community Safety Partnership as Principal Analyst and Business Manager.
Every year, Alternative Futures Group, whose head office is in Prescot on Merseyside, supports more than 1200 people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is achieved by providing around the clock support within the community, in peoples own homes or in one of eight specialist treatment and recovery centres.
Speaking about his new role at AFG Andrew said:
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work for an organisation such as AFG knowing that my work, in some way helps the lives of others
AFG is an organisation which has such a caring and mindful approach to the way it conducts its business.
“I look forward to working on helping implement a new Performance Management structure for the organisation that will help transform the organisation and services that we offer for the future.”
Mike Smith, Clinical Director of AFG, the UK Charity of the Year said:
“We are delighted that Andrew has joined us to help implement what is going to be a real step forward for the organization at a time of great change for the sector. This is an innovative role for the sector and one that will help us to deliver our vision.
That vision and our values are focused on putting the people we support in control of their lives.“
