ePrivacy issues EDAA Trust Seal to Acxiom
Acxiom, an enterprise data, analytics and software-as-a-service company, today announces it has been awarded the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) Trust Seal from independent certification company ePrivacy. The EDAA allows businesses to complement existing legislation, whilst ensuring the online advertising industry continues to help Europe’s digital sector thrive and innovate.
The accreditation, awarded by the Certification Provider ePrivacy, recognises Acxiom’s compliance with the EU Self-Regulatory Programme on Online Behavioural Advertising (OBA) and signifies good standing and responsibility to the business community and consumers.
The announcement follows the appointment of Acxiom’s European Privacy Officer, Dr. Sachiko Scheuing, to the strategic position of co-chair of FEDMA, the Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing Association in 2014.
Ian James, European Managing Director at Acxiom, said: “We pride ourselves on being the market leader in terms of data privacy and data-driven marketing. To be on the EDAA register and recognised by ePrivacy as fully compliant is a valuable endorsement and validation of our dedication to best practices.”
“With the growing importance of privacy across Europe, this accreditation serves to highlight Acxiom’s continued stringent approach to data privacy, data protection and the high level of service we offer.”
Dr Oliver Gray, Director-General of the EDAA, added: “EDAA’s Trust Seal is increasingly gaining traction in the market place across Europe for credibility, transparency and control. We are thrilled that Acxiom has been awarded the Seal, thus increasing business and consumer trust in the services it offers.”
