Black & Ginger to launch Claire House campaign
Following a three-way competitive pitch, Liverpool-based advertising and design studio Black & Ginger has been appointed to create the first-ever marketing and press based campaign for local children’s charity Claire House Childrens Hospice.
The campaign, which will encourage the public to consider leaving a gift to Claire House in their will, launches later this year. It is hoped that the advertisements will help drive an increase in legacy donations to the Wirral-based children’s hospice.
Discussing the commission, Alex Frech, founder and managing director of Black & Ginger, said: “Claire House is a charity very close to our hearts, so it’s a huge honour to be able to collaborate with them in this way.
“The work they do makes a vital difference to local families caring for children with terminal illnesses. We hope that by creating a really innovative advertising campaign for them, we’ll be making a difference in our own way too.”
Pat Faragher, Director of Fundraising, at Claire House, added: “Leaving a gift in your will is an emotional decision and people will only do that if they care passionately about a cause. We know that our supporters do and this campaign will help to encourage them to do something most people put off despite knowing how sensible a decision it is. We chose to work with Black & Ginger because of their ability to create adverts that grab the attention, stay in the memory and allow people to take action. We are really excited about this campaign.”
The award-winning creative agency, which was founded by Frech in 2004 has worked with brands as diverse as Slazenger, Vogue and the NHS. Locally, it also works with Liverpool Vision, the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival and Chester Zoo.
In 2014, the business was responsible for the delivery of the creative campaign for ‘Memories of August 1914’, which saw the Giant Spectacular’s return to Liverpool, which attracted more than 1 million visitors over three days in July last year.
