Businesses Increasingly Rely on Social Media
A recent study by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) said U.S. Internet advertising revenues for the first six months of 2014 was estimated at $23.1 billion, 15 percent more than same period in 2013. Of that figure, $5.3 billion relates to mobile advertising for the Jan-June 2014 period. And while overall online advertising showed a 15 percent increase during the first six months of 2013 and 2014, the figure for mobile advertising jumped a whopping 70 percent for the same period (from $3 billion to $5.3 billion). Of all social networking tools, Instagram, which is now owned by Facebook, counts for the largest advertising revenue. Such massive advertising also brings more people for users to connect with.
The figures and projections are important because of the rapid growth of Instagram, which has become the primary tool for sharing pictures. It is estimated that there are about 300 million Instagram users in the United States alone, with more than 53 percent of adults in the 18-29 age bracket using the platform.
Another figure that would better portray the importance of social media is that majority of businesses in the Unite Stats are small to medium size enterprises that employee none to very few workers.
All those facts and figures show the key role that social media play these days in firing up the e-commerce engine.
Businesses know that to reach an ever-larger portion of the younger generation that primarily buys through the Internet, they need to widen their reach and the best way of doing that is by buying shoutouts. When a business buys Instagram shoutouts, it gets connected to tens of thousands of potential customers who have the same interest as the business owner’s.
Many companies that sell instagram shoutout packages have already ensured that the packages are targeted toward specific audiences.
Popular as Instagram is, it is not the only social media platform. Many users use Twitter for professional, as well as personal, reasons. Those trying to use Twitter can also exponentially expand their reach when they buy Twitter retweets.
Marketing is an essential part of growing a business and getting the product to new customers is the way to do it. Buying shoutouts ensures it.
