The Vinden Partnership appointed to 650-home development in Prescot
The Vinden Partnership is acting as quantity surveyor for a major new residential scheme.
The development will provide more than 650 homes on a 60-acre site just off Carr Lane, Prescot, formerly a brownfield site.
Prescot Park will also be welcoming the new £5m Home Bargains store, to be situated close to the existing Cables Retail Park.
The construction of the first new homes are due to start on site this year and the contractor is Westshield which is based in Oldham.
Prescot Park is currently undergoing extensive regeneration work, with existing buildings now demolished and ready for the construction of the new developments.
The site will play a key role in creating new local jobs for the region, ranging from construction to supply chain positions, as work commences later this year.
Regional director at The Vinden Partnership, Martin Bennett, said: “We were delighted to contribute our services to the Prescot Park brownfield site, as the transformative development of 650 new houses promises further growth and regeneration for an area with exciting potential.
“Following our new government’s pledge to address what continues to be a serious housing shortage, in the regions particularly, it’s encouraging to see projects such as these taking off and improving life for local residents.”
