Two at Airedale International become Export Network ambassadors
TWO key figures in the commercial team at specialist cooling systems manufacturer, Airedale International Air Conditioning, Rawdon, have been appointed to Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s We are International network which gives free advice and mentoring to novice exporters.
The two are commercial director, Mark Viner and export sales manager, Asim Ansari, who join the network which comprises more than 40 of Yorkshire’s top exporting companies.
Mark Viner, who has more than 25 years’ experience of engineering sales in the UK and overseas, joined Airedale International in 2012 and is in charge of the company’s global growth strategy.
Export sales manager, Asim Ansari, who joined the company in 1990, has expertise in export sales, distribution management, key account management and overseas business development. He manages the company’s export sales division, with strategic responsibility for international sales, and oversaw recent office openings in Dubai and Moscow.
During the last three years Airedale International Air Conditioning has established its branch office in Dubai to service its business partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries; a Moscow office in association with a local business partner and a new storage and test facility in Riyadh opened by its Saudi Arabian partner.
Airedale International says that its investment in developing its overseas presence will see it progress initiatives underway in Europe, India and the USA east coast.
The export network is a major element of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership’s We are International campaign. The initiative – delivered in partnership with international trade specialists Chamber International, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Yorkshire and The Enterprise Europe Network and MY Export Hub – aims to add £1.6bn to the City Region economy and create thousands of jobs during the next three years.
