ABC Electrification annouces RPO Agreement with Samuel Knight
Samuel Knight has been selected as the exclusive RPO partner for ABC Electrification.
In 2012 Alstom, Babcock and Costain formed ABC Electrification to support Network Rail in meeting the UK railway’s electrification challenges. ABC Electrification has secured over a billion pounds of orders to date making it one of the largest electrification contractors in Europe.
Under the National Electrification Programme, ABC have secured three significant programmes to provide new electrification to the Valley Lines, Great Western Rail Modification (GWRM) Bristol Patchway to Swansea Route and London North West (South) routes over a seven year period.
The project is worth an estimated £150 million and over the next 3 years will require in excess of 300 people.
Samuel Knight International deliver specialist engineering, technical and construction manpower and recruitment solutions on a contract, permanent and project basis globally. This agreement includes on-site dedicated teams in Bristol and Newport and a project support team based in Samuel Knights head offices in the North East. The contract will cover the hiring of both permanent and contract staff across all job titles.
Samuel Knight will report into Robert Halsey, Programme Director for ABC Electrification who commented “We have had a longstanding relationship with Samuel Knight over the last few years and the decision to move to an RPO partnership is based upon an excellent service received in the past.
