Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed by Merseytravel on a four-year transport and infrastructure framework worth £250m, for engineering consultancy and infrastructure services in Liverpool and the surrounding area.
The £250m framework, which will run from 2015 to 2019, primarily concerns Merseytravel’s assets and will also be available to six other regional authorities and associate members of the Liverpool city region.
The Merseytravel Consultancy Services Multi-Party Framework Agreement will help to boost economic regeneration in the Liverpool city region, in line with the proposed Northern Powerhouse Directive.
The company will provide its expertise in civil & structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, transportation, safety quality and environment, highways infrastructure, project and programme management, building surveyor and business case development.
Framework manager from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Richard McWilliam, said: “This framework plays a crucial part in the regeneration of Liverpool and the wider Mersey area.
“Our experience in delivering high quality engineering consultancy and infrastructure services to Merseytravel over the past 10 years has meant that we are well placed to deliver their key initiatives.”
