Warrington-based A-Plant places £50m order with JCB
Warrington-based A-Plant has placed its largest ever single order for new equipment in the firm’s history.
The company has purchased more than 1,550 machines from JCB in a ground-breaking deal worth more than £50m.
The A-Plant order is one of the largest JCB has ever won.
Every single machine will be UK-manufactured at JCB’s Staffordshire factories in Rocester, Uttoxeter and Cheadle.
Marketing Director at A-Plant, Asif Latief, said: “This £50m+ investment in new JCB machines signals our intent to offer customers one of the youngest and most advanced hire fleets of equipment in our industry.
“Last year, our order with JCB amounted to £35 million for more than 1,000 machines, so this latest investment figure shows our continued commitment to our customers to offer the most innovative, reliable, safe and most environmentally friendly equipment.”
JCB’s CEO Graeme Macdonald said: “This is a very important deal for JCB.
“We’re absolutely delighted that A-Plant has once again chosen JCB to supply such an extensive range of our products and our relationship continues to go from strength to strength.”
The order has been placed through dealer Greenshields JCB, with whom A-Plant has traded for over 25 years.
