North East engineering specialist completes major North Sea construction module
OGN Group, the North East of England offshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), specialist has completed the construction of an 800te process module for a major international oil & gas operator that is destined for the North Sea.
The module, which has been completed on time, has sailed away from OGN’s Hadrian Yard on the River Tyne destined for a high-pressure and high-temperature gas condensate field in the Central North Sea (CNS). It will become part of an existing twin platform gas condensate production hub located in the CNS.
OGN was engaged to fabricate and provide pre-commissioning support for the 19m high module incorporating key process equipment including a primary separator, condensate heater, gas cooler, water degasser, hydro-cyclones and condensate recycle pumps.
David Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at OGN Group, said: “We are delighted to have completed this significant contract within the agreed timescale.
“It is a strong endorsement of the expertise and experience that we have in the North East to deliver projects of this nature for the North Sea and further afield.
“It also demonstrates that OGN and the North East of England supply chain have a key role to play in the continuing development of the North Sea.
“It is essential that a strong UK fabrication industry supply chain is supported and we welcomed the opportunity to work with a major international oil & gas operator on this project.”
