Entrepreneurial Newton Aycliffe engineer launches own independent firm
Chris Lambert, a former Fujitsu apprentice turned entrepreneur, has fulfilled a lifetime ambition by launching his own business, based in the North East.
Chris from Newton Aycliffe, Durham, who has previously worked for 3M and Gestamp Tallent as well as the Japanese firm, has started Chris Lambert Engineering, an independent Trumpf laser service provider.
Chris, a multi-skilled service engineer, specialises in all Trumpf CNC lasers, from CO2, Fiber, 2D, 3D, Tube cutting to welding and OEM.
Chris said: “It’s a lifetime ambition to start my own business and after more than 20 years in a variety of disciplines I feel I can offer firms a competitive and reliable service.
“My services offer preventative maintenance, breakdowns and repair maintenance, machine relocation, training and spares service.
“I offer nationwide cover seven days a week with telephone support, and all work is guaranteed with both services, breakdowns and spares recorded and documented for the customers records.
Chris has spent the last 10 years working as senior laser field service engineer for Luton-based Trumpf, a world-leader in industrial lasers and laser system technology.
His role covered the installation of standard, special purpose systems and OEM lasers and breakdown and preventive maintenance of all laser CNC systems.
Chris added: “I aim to offer a fresh approach to the industry, with enthusiasm and dedication to customer service needs.
“I want to utilise my experience within the industry to offer customers a cost-effective way of looking after their Trumpf lasers.”
