B STREET appoints new managing director
B STREET London has strengthened its business offering with the appointment of Mike Spicer as Managing Director. Mike brings over 20 years of business leadership to the agency, having spent most of his career as Managing Director of Arc Worldwide, a division of Leo Burnett. He then went on to be Group MD of Havas / EHS Brann and most recently worked at The Pulse Group. Mike served as the CEO / MD of the exhibitions and events agency with a plan to develop client relationships to deliver an integrated offering and expand the agency’s proposition.
Mike was credited with growing the breadth of work delivered for existing Pulse clients, such as Emirates, by developing impactful consumer activations of their sport sponsorship programmes. Above and beyond this, he brought many new clients to the agency including Morrisons, Rubicon, Westons Cider, method, JVC, Argos and Intercontinental Hotels.
David Ploughman, CEO B STREET Group, comments: “We selected Mike after an extended search as we felt the agency needed someone with significant experience to build upon current client relationships and to grow the business into a major player in the UK market.”
Mike Spicer, Managing Director B STREET, adds: “My heart and experience lie very much in the wider world of integrated communications, so it seemed an appropriate time to consider my future. I am delighted to be joining B STREET at this stage of the agency’s journey. We’re hiring, we’ve won some new business and we’re moving to a new office. This is a business that delivers brilliant work and has real ambition - we’re looking to capitalise on our success in North America as well as make our mark here in the UK.”
