Local Company Bags Innovation of the Year Award
A Local Recycling Company has bagged the prestigious recognition of “Innovation of the Year” at a National Awards Ceremony.
Electrical Waste Recycling Group based in County Durham attended the exclusive Hilton Park Lane hotel to receive the award where they went head to head with National Market Leading Companies in order to take the title.
The company who are located at Langley Moor has developed an automated process as the solution to the increased volumes of flat panel displays (flat screen televisions) entering into the UK waste stream.
With the manual dismantling of a flat panel display taking 15 minutes, the business has developed machinery which can process up to 600 per hour at their state of the art five and a half acre recycling facility- increasing efficiencies.
Group Managing Director, Keith Patterson from Durham said “this is an outstanding achievement for EWRG after significant time and investment has gone into developing and approving the flat panel display process.”
With the latest success under their belts, the company continue to grow creating employment and opportunities for local people.
