Mayor visits Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
The Lord Mayor of Manchester Paul Murphy OBE has paid a visit to the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to mark the start of a new partnership.
The Greater Manchester Chamber and the We Love MCR Charity will work together to engage local businesses in supporting communities within Manchester, through the development of new project initiatives.
The Lord Mayor of Manchester Paul Murphy OBE commented, “I’m proud of the new partnership between the We Love MCR Charity and The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and I am certain it will prove a fruitful relationship.
“We Love MCR Charity works hard to help improve the lives and life chances of all Manchester people and I am sure the involvement of The Chamber of Commerce will help us achieve that goal.“
In 2015/16 the We Love MCR Charity is working towards expanding its support to local community projects in Manchester through its new portfolio of initiatives, incorporating projects in sectors such as youth, the elderly, sport, enterprise, employment, creativity, wellbeing and education.
Clive Memmot, Chief Executive of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce also commented, “We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor to our offices to mark the start of our partnership. The We Love MCR Charity is something very close to our hearts, has our enthusiastic support and is a charity we are delighted to be associated. We look forward to building on our association in the coming months and years.“
