Bolton startup on track for £250k turnover
Mentoring and leadership development firm Boo Coaching & Consulting, a startup in Bolton, is on track to hit record growth and create jobs after working with a business support company in Manchester.
Founded just under three years ago, the firm has seen its turnover increase by 67% since going on the Business Growth Hub’s Executive Development Programme. Now, it is expecting to achieve a £250k turnover by the end of the year.
Boo Coaching & Consulting’s director, Becci Martin, said: “The executive development programme has transformed my business, both in terms of how I handle business internally, as well as growing Boo Coaching in the marketplace.
“We are now in a much stronger position to secure some new big contracts and I look forward to continue working with the Hub as we expand.”
The company is now aiming to secure a greater number of contracts and take on more staff to support its growth plans.
Dawn Duggan, executive development manager at Business Growth Hub, added: “Often business owners such as Becci are caught up in the day to day operations of the company. Our programme offers executives the chance to take a step back and work on the overall strategy of the business.
“The firm now has a clearer focus and is expected to continue growing at a solid pace over the next few years.”
As part of the programme, Boo Coaching & Consulting was paired up with Big Hand 4 Business, with the aim of helping the mentoring firm to gain a stronger position within its marketplace.
Hannah Warburton, a Big Hand 4 Business consultant, commented: “Like most businesses, there are challenges as you grow and our programme has enabled growth, not just for Becci, but for all the businesses we’ve been working with.
“We have seen the creation of 19 jobs and safeguarded four others over the four-month period and we look forward to supporting Boo over the long-term.”
