CBRE Manchester to market Sandscale Park in Barrow-in-Furness
The Manchester-based Industrial Agency team of commercial property and real estate services adviser CBRE is set to market Sandscale Park, the industrial site occupying 30 aces in Cumbria.
Located just off Park Road in Barrow-in-Furness, the site includes 100,000 sq ft of warehouse space and accompanying offices.
CBRE Manchester’s senior director, Paul Cook, said: “Sandscale Park represents a unique opportunity to acquire an existing large-scale industrial unit with significant potential for expansion and redevelopment close to Barrow Docks.
“The whole area has witnessed an upsurge in investment and expansion and this prime site is set to attract high levels of interest.”
The town has expanded significantly over recent years, seeing long-term investment in sectors such as shipbuilding and energy. Local companies include Milan-headquartered multinational firm Pirelli; United Biscuits, which produces the Jacob’s Cream Crackers and McVitie’s brands; and German conglomerate Siemens.
