Utiligroup's Jan Iceton

Utility software firm launches new business consultancy

Utiligroup, the Lancashire-based provider of services for the utilities and energy industry, has announced the launch of a new consultancy it hopes will strengthen its place in the market.

With a focus on delivering business improvements for its clients, the new division will comprise a handpicked team of consultants led by consultancy and services director Jan Iceton, who has been the Chorley company’s associate director for the last five years.

Her new role will see her assume a position on the firm’s board of directors.

Utiligroup’s CEO, Matthew Hirst, commented: “Jan brings a wealth of experience to Utiligroup, having successfully run her own board level business development consultancy, where she helped clients create compelling market propositions, coupled with creative commercial solutions to ensure they grew more profitably and in line with business plans.”

Jan will be joined at the practice by Lynn Roxburgh, Utiligroup’s new assurance and advisory head, alongside Paul Holden, the firm’s acting head of consultancy.

Utiligroup, which provides services and software to more than 30 of the UK’s active energy suppliers, underwent a £16.1bn management buyout in 2014.
