Gateshead health care provider expands to Business Central Darlington
Business Central Darlington has welcomed a new tennant to its growing portfolio of occupants, with addition of Gateshead company Firstcall Healthcare.
The health care provider, which provides qualified nurses, health care assistants and support workers to health care establishments, has grown its team significantly since moving into the offices last month.
The new branch will be headed up by Allan Gibbon who has increased the businesses’ clientele which includes all major care homes, mental health units, Young Physically Disabled and Acquired Brain Injury centres to supported living.
Allan said: “We’d literally just signed a one year office lease elsewhere when we spotted Business Central Darlington. The building and location was so ideal we couldn’t resist temptation and had to have a look.
Allan, who is recruiting heavily in Darlington, continued: “As soon as we saw the impressive meeting rooms, vibrant open space and flawless facilities we knew we had to expand there!”
The Firstcall Healthcare team were so keen to move in to Business Central Darlington that they bought themselves out of the contract they had just signed up to in order to move in.
Allan added: “We’re extremely confident Business Central Darlington is the perfect place for us. It will help us position ourselves as one of the leading health care providers that we are and pride ourselves on.”
As well as Firstcall Healthcare, Business Central Darlington which opened in April this year has also recently welcomed Harvey & Hugo, Business Enterprise Fund and Optimal Industrial Automation Limited which have all grown by at least one employee since moving.
Business Central is located in the Central Park Enterprise Zone, Darlington. The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) is working with Darlington Borough Council and the £6.6m project has been supported with funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the Homes and Communities Agency.
