Birkenhead refrigeration firm Flynn strikes deal with German manufacturer
An air-conditioning and refrigeration specialist in Merseyside has been chosen as an official supplier for Roller, the refrigeration company headquartered in Germany.
The deal will see Birkenhead-based Flynn Refrigeration serving as a global distributor for Roller’s offshore and marine product range.
Discussing the deal, the £2.6m turnover firm’s managing director, Alex Flynn, said: “Roller has been a major player in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry for more than 60 years. This partnership boosts the quality and diversity of our extensive portfolio of products, which already includes thousands of new and reconditioned components.
“Flynn already has successful partnerships with a number of industry-leading manufacturers, including Bitzer, Danfoss, Copeland, Grasso and Gram.”
He added: “The addition of Roller to that list further reinforces Flynn as a leading supplier of refrigeration and air-conditioning products. It is also an endorsement of our global reach and ability to penetrate the global maritime market. Exports now account for two thirds of all our sales and continue to rise.”
Roller, which specialises in manufacturing air coolers, fan coil units and heat exchangers, creates products designed to maintain temperatures in extreme conditions. The company, which is based in the German town Gerlingen, also has distributors in Australia, South America, Asia and Africa.
Speaking further, Alex said: “We have built strong relationships with a number of suppliers and have accrued 30 years of experience in the supply of marine air-conditioning and refrigeration products.
“The strength of our global supply chain means we can fast and efficient solutions.”
