Cheshire-based sauce maker grows product line with NatWest support
Cheshire food company Prep Shed has expanded its product range after securing financial support from NatWest.
Prep Shed, which is based in Wilmslow, used the NatWest funding to add a new barbecue sauce to its product line. The company’s founder, chef George Yiannis, had a short period of time in which to develop the sauce and have it ready for a national supermarket chain.
George said: “We work closely with our clients and create innovative food products for a very competitive market. It’s about understanding the client, what their food passions are and then developing a product that reflects these components.
“We had to get the product out the door in a matter of weeks as it’s a barbecue sauce and it’s the middle of summer.”
He added: “NatWest was able to put the funding in place so we could do this with short time scales.”
George turned to the bank’s relationship manager, Tony Gillespie, without whom he said he would have failed to complete the order in time.
Tony commented: “I was delighted to support George and Prep Shed on this funding arrangement which has allowed the business to grow its product line. George has a strong vision for company’s future and I wish him every success.”
From its Grove Street base, Prep Shed provides more than 20 different food products to both restaurants and supermarkets.
